Sundown Vets came to us with one of the most delicate briefs we have worked on. An at-home pet euthanasia service operating across Berkshire — offering a peaceful, compassionate alternative to clinic appointments. The challenge was never just about design. It was about tone, trust, and the ability to meet grieving families exactly where they were.

The tagline arrived early in conversation: "Peaceful Compassionate Care at Home." Everything had to earn that. We began by understanding the emotional landscape — what families face in those final days with a pet, and what they needed to feel from a service like this. Warmth. Professionalism. Gentleness. No clinical coldness. No jargon. Just clarity and care.

Every decision was made with the emotional context front of mind. The palette — muted sage teal, soft near-white backgrounds, quiet charcoal text — was chosen to feel calm without feeling cold. The logo: a simple silhouette of a cat and dog at rest beneath a setting sun, framed in a gentle circle. Timeless, instantly understood, and unmistakably tender.

The website leads with "Peaceful Compassionate Care at Home" — and the design follows through on that promise at every scroll. Clear service descriptions, a straightforward booking enquiry, and a tone of voice that speaks like a trusted neighbour rather than a corporate provider. Built mobile-first and handed over with full documentation so the client owns it completely.

Discovery & Tone
Understanding the emotional landscape before touching a single pixel. Deep conversations with the client about the service, the families they work with across Berkshire, and what "peaceful, compassionate care" needs to look and feel like.

Brand Identity
Logo, colour palette, typography — all built around sage teal, soft whites, and a mark showing a cat and dog at rest beneath a setting sun. Calm, immediate, and unmistakably gentle. Delivered for sign-off before any code was written.

Website Build
A clean, fast, mobile-first site at sundownvets.co.uk. Clear service description, Berkshire coverage area, "Book an Appointment" CTA, and a "Calm and Gentle Approach" section that mirrors the brand values throughout.
